Activities and experiences in the Pyrenees

There are three parks in the region: the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park, the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park, and the Canyons and Sierra de Guara Natural Park.

The Ordesa & Monte Perdido National Park, declared a World Heritage Site, is home to Monte Perdido, the third highest peak in the Pyrenees and the highest limestone mountain in Europe. Access is via the Ordesa Valley, Torla entrance, the Añisclo and Escuaín Canyon, Escalona entrance, and the Pineta Valley, Bielsa entrance.

 

The Posets-Maladeta Natural Park is home to Posets, the second highest peak in the Pyrenees, and many of the mountains over 3,000 meters high. Access is via the Chistau Valley, Salinas entrance.

 

The Canyons and Sierra de Guara Natural Park, known for its ravines and rock art, is accessible from the road that runs from Aínsa to Alquézar.

 

There are mountains for everyone, from trails along the valley floors to ascents of peaks of 3,000 meters or more.

 

The interpretation centers are open year-round in Bielsa, Escalona, ​​and Torla, and during the high season in Plan, Tella, and Escuaín.
