This splendid 15th century fortified house is located 12kms from Ainsa in the village of Alujan in the Fueva Valley. The house is easily recognisable by its two turrets. Today, thanks to a meticulous restoration, guests can now enjoy a peaceful and comfortable stay inside this historic property.
An impressive front door leads into an interior patio housing the former wine press and access to the holiday cottage. An attractive living room with open stonework, wooden beams and tiled floors welcomes you on the ground floor. Guests can relax in the comfortable sofa and easy chairs surrounding the inviting open fireplace. The sofa doubles as a sofa bed when necessary. A kitchen is also located on this floor.
The first floor has a bathroom and two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with twin beds. The combination of open stonework and walls painted in soft colours, rustic furniture and subtle lighting creates a warm and cosy atmosphere.
Don’t miss out on the chance to help the owner with his daily farming tasks; gather the eggs, bottle feed a lamb or milk a goat. We also advise you to visit the small chapel with its frescos and the former kitchen both of which can be reached from the interior patio. Within a half-hour radius, you can visit the San Victorián monastery, the medieval site of Muro de Roda, Ainsa and the Ordesa National Park.
