Located in a 200 year old stone built family home, Casa La Plaza is situated in the village of San Juan de Plan, at the entrance to the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park, in surroundings that combine the splendour of nature, local traditions and majestic scenery.
A stay at Casa La Plaza is always special thanks to the welcome and hospitality offered by the Loste de Mur family. Moreover, it is a spectacular departure point for excursions to the surrounding Pyrenean meadows, peaks and lakes. Depending on the season, you can pick wild mushrooms, blackberries, raspberries, hazelnuts and walnuts, and of course not to be missed is a visit to the ethnological museum, pioneer in exhibiting traditional rural life in the Aragonese Pyrenees.
The reception is located on the ground floor, along with the restaurant with capacity for 30 people. There is also a lounge area ideal for reading or playing board games, which is heated by a roaring fireplace in the winter months, a bar and a small courtyard, full of plants – ideal for enjoying a refreshing drink in the summer months.
The bedrooms include four doubles, two twins, two triples and one quadruple, all have bathroom and television, and are distributed in the first and second floors, with one triple on the top floor. Particular care has been taken to personalise each of the comfortable bedrooms, and these are all attractively decorated with vibrant colourings, antique furnishings, handmade bedspreads and wooden flooring.
In the restaurant, guests can enjoy delicious local specialities. Worth a special mention, the hearty stews, tasty stocks, and mouth watering vegetables from the hotel’s organic garden, where products are cultivated using methods of old. Casa La Plaza offers buffet breakfast, evening meals and picnic lunches for those heading out for a day in the mountains.
